I am an engineering leader with over two decades of experience across academia and industry, specializing in blockchain, security, and distributed systems. I advise and support founders navigating the complexities of Web3, drawing on over six years in blockchain and decades in distributed systems and security research. I am especially interested in exploring how AI and decentralized technologies intersect to create new opportunities.
Previously, I led engineering at Aptos Labs, building one of the most performant Layer 1 blockchains in Web3. Priot to that, I was Meta’s Web3 tech lead, where I drove cross-company product and technical initiatives around Web3 integration and the Libra then Diem Blockchains. Earlier at Facebook, I led Ads Growth teams developing scalable platforms that expanded active businesses on the platform.
Before industry, I was a research scientist at Yale University working on DARPA-funded projects in privacy and reliability, following a doctorate at the University of Florida in decentralized networking. Across my career, I have published widely, contributed to open source, and built secure, scalable systems that push technology forward. My interests:
- (Distributed) Systems
- Cyber-security
- Anonymity
- Networking
